Community Heritage Project

The Risborough Community Heritage Project
The Risborough Community Heritage Project invites people to share and celebrate the history of Princes Risborough.
We are inviting residents, past and present, to share their local knowledge, stories, memories, photographs and traditions.
The shared information will be used to design a Risborough Heritage Trail, and other heritage initiatives, to promote the town to tourists and help people of all ages interpret our local history.
Share your knowledge and memories of Princes Risborough.
Why are we asking for your help?
While we are staying close to home to prevent the spread of Covid-19 we thought this would be the perfect opportunity for you to share your local memories, knowledge and photographs with the rest of the community. It is important that our heritage, old and new, is recorded before it is lost forever.
Princes Risborough Town Council is planning to design and install a heritage trail across the parish. The trail will be linked to an app for people to download on their mobile phones or to pick up from local shops as a map. The Heritage trail will guide participants to interesting and fascinating areas of the town so that they learn more about what is distinctive and local to Princes Risborough.
We will also produce a poster, which will be designed by local artists, to depict our heritage, old and new, in alphabetical order.
Most importantly we would like to galvanise our community at this unusual time through our shared love of our town.
